When I first heard about the Snyder acquisition I thought what a great idea. More depth with and experienced linemen who knows our system and fits in well in 49ers culture. He's no Staley by any means but he's more flexible in the positions he can play. I know some of us were applauding his move to Arizona, knowing full well it would make their Quarterbacks more vulnerable but as a sub he's like a Derrick Deese, in that he can come in as Mr Reliable whenever he's called upon but never has to carry the team. (Except that in 1994 that happened to Deese and the team ended up carrying him). We don't want to see Snyder come in and be the starter due to injury but it sure is nice to have him to back fill and spell on occasion. A good move by management.
