Had a great time with BP last night in a Brew Pub in downtown Milwaukee. Ton ‘O Fun. Lots of football conversation, the history of the Blog and all the great people on it. I started posting on Audibles at the Merc back in 1996 late in the year during the season and BP started earlier that year, or maybe even the previous year. 17 years. My wife thought it was all pretty amusing hearing all the great stories over the years and how everyone has interacted and all the crazy that stuff that has gone on at the Forum. There really has been a lot of crazy years and it’s amazing we’re all still hanging out here. BP’s a great guy and I knew it would all turn out to be a great time.

The Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks game was pretty good although we all knew the series would end in a sweep, just like the Laker game that followed it. Miami is definitely not invincible but the Bucks just don’t have the fire power to keep up with them. We landed at the airport around 1:40 pm, drove to the hotel and parked, and then walked the few blocks up to the Arena. We sat down right as the game started at 2:30. Cheap tickets and a nice, sunny day in Milwaukee. Pretty casual good time.

That Laker season was a disaster. Very painful and I’m glad it’s over. The Lakers have always been about losing first and foremost, incredible melodrama secondly, and some amazing championships thrown in. There’s no gain without pain with those guys. Looks like the West could come down to Oklahoma and Golden State. Denver is playing very well but the Warriors are smokin’ hot right about now.

The 49ers depth chart is looking pretty good now after the draft. Colin Kaepernick will start the season for the first time in his career. This team is locked and loaded but there’s hours and hours of preparation ahead of them to get all these pieces in place. I don't think there is a more talented team in the NFL.

That was the draft. Its an exciting point in the NFL year. But now things get pretty boring until the end of August.
