The primary areas of need for the 49ers going into this draft were, in order of importance:
  1. Free safety
  2. Defensive tackle
  3. Pass rusher
  4. Tight End
  5. Wide receiver
In their first five picks, the Niners took care of four of those areas (two pass rushers).

In the 5th round, the team picked up a DT who plays the two-gap from an SEC school.  That's good stuff.

The Lattimore pick at RB makes lots of sense.  They will need him later rather than sooner.

Event he UFA's look good to me -  more than just camp fodder and one or two may get to the practice squad.
