Michael, if we had fiddled around and taken Mathieu I would have considered it a less successful draft. He is a decent player but gets a lot more press than he deserves. He finished 3rd in the Heisman voting because of some interception and punt returns and the fact that the media fell in love with the Honey Badger persona. The reality is that he wasn't in the same league as his teammate Patrick Peterson who is also a better return man. There is not a player we took in the first 4 rounds I would rather have Mathieu than. As you probably heard, Arizona is going to play him at safety. That's a smart move on their part. But as a safety he is not in Eric Reid's league.

And Win, yes, Mathieu is a bad guy. Anyone who clubs a player in the back of the head and knocks him out is a scumbag.

And make no mistake, I see LSU every year, and that is not the way that team generally plays.
