I don't know whether y'all read it or not, but last night a journalist asked Baalke if he knew whom we would take, and he said absolutely, unless some team happened to call with an offer you couldn't refuse. I love it. What did he do? He indirectly said I'm going to be tough to move off this pick but might be willing to listen. So when Tennessee calls, Baalke gets a sweeter deal. Baalke knows how to make trades. Consider: we moved up 6 spots to get Vance MacDonald and only gave up a 6th. We moved up 5 spots to get Lemonier and only gave up a 7th. However, Baalke traded back 6 spots and got not only a 7th, but a 3rd next year. That is some serious negotiating.

Also consider: number of draft pick we have taken at the original spot this year: 0. 3 trade-ups and 1 trade-back.
