As far as the Green Bay game we beat them twice last year so they have the psychological whammy to overcome. We have the ju-ju on our side. We beat them the first game last season with Alex Smith. Now, comparing the next time we played them with Kaepernick I’d say that’s a significant upgrade in performance. So we didn’t have Kaepernick or James in that first game last season. Crab had yet to come into his own as being an elite number one receiver and we didn’t have Boldin. The key to beating the Packers in both games was by being a pain in the a** to Aaron Rogers. I believe our defense will be as good or better than last year, assuming we resolve the change at the Safety position. I wouldn’t worry about Green Bay. At least we have them at home this year and not up in that sleazeball Lambeau field.

Seattle at CenturyLink is the real problem. So the way for the fans to approach that game is to assume we beat Green Bay and worst case scenario we end up 1-1 after Seattle. The other way to approach this game is let’s just kick their a** in their house and be done with it. Come out firing on all guns at the outset and get to Wilson as much as possible.

1 and 1 is not a bad way to open the season considering the schedule. 2 and 0 would be great. To lose to Green Bay at home and then having to face Seattle in their building will be hell for nerves. This is a crappy way to open the season against our two biggest NFC rivals and I don’t blame any of the fans for being really pissed off. We get past that first two weeks at least at .500 and then we move on. We get the Falcons and Texans later on which are also tough teams.

The schedule is not as bad as it looks. It starts out real, real crappy.
