Right then. Where was I?

Not a fan of Terrell Owens. But I'm a very big fan of Keenan Allen's. Remember, Obfuscation Season is now in full swing, so I wouldn't put it past the Hoody in New England to plant a few whoppers. (Wish I'd thought of it.) --

Should we be interested in a WR? After all, we have Crabtree and Boldin. Manningham and Williams are coming back. And then there's A.J. Jenkins. And Ricardo Lockette!

And none of that suggests long term stability at the position.

Crabtree has played 4 years of his 6 year contract. Boldin is only under contract for one more season and he's not a young guy. Manningham is under contract for one more season and he's going to be trying to come back from a torn up knee. Williams is trying to come back from a torn up knee. A.J. Jenkins is a major question mark. I'm hopeful, but he's a question mark. And Lockette is a P.S. guy with great size and speed... but I've never seen him play.

I have seen Allen play. A lot. And I'm a very big fan.

I still think drafting Jesse Williams (Alabama, DT/DE) is the right "need" choice. Everything about the way the guy plays reminds me of Justin Smith. And Smith is the guy we have to find the right replacement for.

But I sure wouldn't be upset if I heard that the Niners were moving up a couple of spots in the first round to snag Keenan Allen.
