Just futzing around.

Right now the top ten in this year's draft, according to the mock drafts at NFL.com are:

Ziggy Ansah DE BYU

Jonathan Cooper OG N.C.

Eric Fisher OT Can. Mich.

Sharrif Floyd DT Florida

Lane Johnson OT Okla

Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M

Dion Jordan DE/OLB Oregon

Star Lotulelei DT Utah

Dee Millner CB Bama

Geno Smith QB W. Virginia

And yeah, I listed them in alphabetical order.

I bring the list up because I've been thinking about the Raider's lack of draft choices, and lack of players... And the Niner's abundance of draft picks, and our fairly well stocked roster.

The Raiders are in complete rebuild mode. At the moment they look more like an expansion team than anything else, and to make matters worse, an expansion team without the advantages of being an expansion team. No extra draft choices, no option to steal players off other team's rosters. And to top it all off... they're still not out of salary cap hell. But they do have the 3rd pick in the draft.

Right now the Raiders have the third pick in the first round. They have no second round pick. One pick in the third round. One in the 4th. Three picks in the 6th round. And one in the 7th.

7 picks in total. Not really enough to get a big step up in rebuilding that puppy.

The Niners, according to Maiocco have 13 picks. 10 of which can be used in trade:

1. First round, No. 31 (No. 31 overall): Own pick

2. Second round, No. 2 (No. 34 overall): From Kansas City for Alex Smith

3. Second round, No. 31 (No. 61 overall): Own pick

4. Third round, No. 12 (No. 74 overall): From Carolina in trade during 2012 draft

5. Third round, No 31 (No. 93 overall): Own pick

6. Fourth round, No. 31 (No. 128 overall): Own pick

7. Fourth round, No. 34 (No. 131 overall): Compensatory

8. Fifth round, No. 24 (No. 157 overall): From Indianapolis in trade during 2012 draft

9. Sixth round, No. 5 (No. 173 overall): From Cleveland in Colt McCoy trade

10. Sixth round, No. 12 (No. 180 overall): From Miami in trade-back during 2012 draft

11. Seventh round, No. 31 (No. 237 overall): Own pick

12. Seventh round, No. 40, (No. 246 overall): Compensatory

13. Seventh round, No. 46, (No. 252 overall): Compensatory

Anyone think there's anyone in that top ten worth trading a bucket full of picks to move up and get?

I'm leaning toward NO... but I'd be interested in hearing other opinions.
