DeeTee,

I see your reasoning in that Russell had great promise coming out of college and never got a chance to prove himself in a Quarterback developing system. But we have Tolzien and McCoy. If McCoy had been drafted by Harbaugh and his great Quarterback developing staff I really believe he'd be a pro bowl quality starting Quarterback long ago. Instead he gets shoved off into Cleveland and into obscurity. During the off season he'll be put through the paces by the coaching staff and will get to hang out with Kaepernick so he will come along quite nicely by the time the season starts. What I'd like to see is Tolzien and McCoy get so many reps in the off season, and as much garbage time in the regular season, that they are both ready to step in at any time and the offense does not miss a beat. I think we have our three Quarterbacks now so we can skim the dredges off the bottom of the free agency pile in other areas.
