Rob, I think Jesse Williams is likely to be gone by 61 (thought I'd love it if we got him there). Hankins is good, but I don't know if he can play anything but NT. I think 34 is too early for a safety. This draft is deep in safeties (and T-Mac's son is one of them!). I think we'll take a corner with one of our first two picks if we don't sign someone before the draft. There are some good corners to be had in that early 2nd range.

According to various scouts I've read, this draft is thin in terms of players one would normally take in the top 15 but absolutely loaded in 2nd round talent. 2nd-round talent will apparently last well into the 3rd round. We could/should end up with more starting-quality players than we did last year.

Some people have talked about not a lot of our draft picks being starters, but I look at it this way. We now need a starting free safety starting nose tackle and could definitely upgrade starters at corner. We have need for a future starter at center, and we need an H-Back/TE to replace Walker. Taking into account the need for depth on the DL, and I think we could see a draft--of we draft well--of 5-6 guys who get significant playing time: FS, CB, WR, TE, DL (maybe 2). And I really want us to draft a center for the future. Kilgore is not it.
