By this new rule, the classic run by Earl Campbell forever shown on NFL Films where he blasted over the Rams(?) defender would be deemed illegal. A perfect example of where the perception is that the violence of the hit was much greater because the defender goes flying back, but it's all simply because of the leg power of the RB. Another rule that will require tons of discretion.

It will be interesting to see how it settles with people when the first TD "dive" type run is called back because of a 15 yard penalty.

More often than not, change isn't for the better. This seems to be one of those times to me. Too many rules, refs have to be like robots to get them all right.

I'd honestly be fine with NCAA rules and NCAA officials on Sundays. I'd prefer it. Much less interruption, much less discussion huddling during a game, less "air-time" explanations. Of course, professional flag-thrower hall-of-famers like Hochuli wouldn't like it, but then again, those clowns can't even make the right calls when the Superbowl is on the line. Just ask Crabtree.
