I am not worried about being able to replace Ricky Jean or Soaps as much as I don't want to spend half the draft building a rotation. Last year we basically had 4 guys rotate, and Fangio did not have enough faith in Ricky Jean to rotate him in very much. They just signed Ian Williams to an extension, but he did not play a lot, either. So now we have our two ends, Justin and R-Mac, plus Williams. So how do we get to a healthy and talented true rotation? That would mean drafting at least three guys whoo are worthy of a lot of snaps. We want to reduce our two DEs to about 75% of the snaps rather than the 90+% of last year (Justin was on pace for that before he got hurt). That means we need at least one guy who can be in the 75% range and another two in the 40% range. Jesse Williams or Margus Hunt would be one of those guys, and you could get someone solid in a middle round (I like Bennie Logan from LSU), but you still really need another guy. Bryant might be one of them. And even if we were to sign Sean Smith (where did y'all see we were interested? I haven't found that yet) we should draft another corner. What I would like about signing Smith is that it would take pressure off drafting that position early. If, for instance, we were to sign Desmond Bryant (or another useful DE or DT) then we would not have to go DL with our first pick. With those three positions handled we could go with the best player available, or even with a guy such as Eddie Lacy if he slid to us.

And what do y'all think about taking Lacy with our second pick (or a trade up into the mid 2nd) if he slid?
