The acquisition of Anquan Boldin from Baltimore for a 6th round pick is piracy on the high seas.  Y'arrrrrrrrr!  He will compliment top receiver Michael Crabtree tremendously.  The past 3 seasons, Boldin has averaged 15 games, 62 receptions, 832 yards, 14.2 YPC, and a hiccup under 5 TD's.  Those dovetail nicely with Crab's numbers.  I see Boldin as the possession receiver/go-to guy when they absolutely gotta get that first down.  Harbaugh and Roman scheming could bump him up to a 1,000 yard/8 TD wideout.

Win wonders about giving LaMichael James more routes to run and passes to catch.  I can see that happening since Kendall Hunter is rehabbing from an Achilles injury he got at the end of November.  If the team can get maybe 3 games plus post-season from Hunter, it will be pure gravy.  I think they draft an RB somewhere around the 4th round.

I also agree that Takeo Spikes was perfect for the 49ers as they transitioned to what they are now.  Larry Grant will be 28 when the season starts, Spikes will be 37.  Much as I respect geezerhood... just say no.
