Are you joking? Boldin for a 6th? That is the steal of the decade. My guess is we re-work the contract to a multi-year deal to bump up the overall pay for him and help us with the cap. GT, Boldin is one of the most consistent receivers in the game. He's had at least 800 yards receiving every year he's been in the league except his second year. 921 yards last year. Two thirds of his catches were for 1st downs. He is the antithesis of Randy Moss:
Moss: Speed
Boldin: Strength
Moss: temperamental
Boldin: team leader
Moss: takes plays off
Boldin: came back in 6 weeks from badly broken jaw that required big-time surgery. Not a #1 receiver on teams? He had over 1,000 yards receiving 5 times.

And as to Crabtree being a #2 receiver. I'm sorry, but no, he's clearly a #1 now. Last year Crabtree had these numbers:

85 catches
1,105 yards
9 touchdowns

You mention Julio Jones, who I agree is a star.
Jones' numbers:
79 catches
1,198 yards
10 touchdowns

And Crabtree put up his numbers with Alex Smith as his QB for half the season. His last 5 games of the season he was over 100 yards three times (nearly 200 yards in one game) and then twice more in the playoffs. He scored 7 touchdowns in his last 6 games. If those aren't #1 receiver numbers I don't know what are.

And now he will have Boldin opposite him. You figure that will help Vernon, too. Man, if we can get a good receiver in the draft and/or if Jenkins develops, boy, could we be explosive.
