Jack - Ok, I'll give you that on Coffee. He wasn't a complete turd, not nearly as offensive as some of the others. But he still falls in that category of just that sort of flaky, weird, introvert type personality of which I wished the 9ers would've been keener to before blowing a 3rd rounder on him. But I also heard recently, was it last year or the year before, that Coffee was mentioned in the list of names for possible comebacks. And I couldn't help but think, we gave up a 3rd rounder for him and got stiffed, so, what, things aren't going so well in the ministries these days? Decent enough guy, I'll give you that, just a bit weird. Along the lines of Andre Wadsworth years back who decided to walk away and go preach the "word". Who later also had some interest in playing, but thankfully it never worked out.

Jamarcus Russell I honestly don't think had one intention of putting forth even a fraction of the effort it would take to be a competent pro. He got paid, got FAT quick, got lazy, had problems comprehending the playbook, and never held his end of the deal up learning plays. Such a lack of effort and intelligence that he got Kiffin fired. But he did have some nice huge diamond rock earrings in on the sidelines while he was not comprehending the plays they were pointing out to him. He had no interest in playing, he just wanted the easy cash. He got it, he got fat, and now it's probably gone, and now he wants to make nice and get some more. I'd like to see 32 teams not even accept a call from that sloth. If your plan is to go in, do no homework or filmwork, and think you can only give half-ass effort on the practice field, then your plan is your problem along with your heart, and I think it's safe to say he never wanted to be a success, giving forth a kinf of effor he KNEW wouldn't match up.
