Another point about Delanie Walker and that is he did have a dropsy problem which he fully admitted and vowed to work on. I see it as rudiments. On so many occasions when watching the slo mo replays I can clearly see the problem. The ball is about to reach his hands and he's thinking he's got it then he turns to absorb the hit he knows is coming, or is really hankering to spin and get those coveted YAC. Problem is the second he takes his eye off the ball he ends up muffing it. Its a simple rudiment to fix and that is to keep your eye on the ball all the way until you have possession of it and then turn to run down field or take the hit you know is coming any second. I can see his point of view. He wants to beat the other guy to the punch, take the hit face to face where he can deke out the other guy or plow into him head first, or he wants to get the step on him and get into the open field. But you have keep your eye on the ball until you have it tucked into your gut. Simple rudiment to fix and I began to see him doing that towards the end. I like his blocking abilities when he doesn't have the ball. Mostly I like how he and Kap had developed such great chemistry and Walker was coming up with so many big plays.

I don't know if you've all noticed that Kap is a second down guy. That's his third down. Most of our first downs come on second down which I think is interesting. Our third down conversion ratio has been fair to middling but we end wracking up lots of first downs nonetheless. And many of these end being way down field. Walker, Crab and Mann were a big part of that. That's why I like Walker. Big first downs down field and usually right along the sidelines.

I see on the roster list that we also have Demarcus Dobbs (??) listed as TE/DT and Brian Jennings. I don't know anything about any of these guys but I did see that Celek did get on the field a little bit last season.

Yes, Spillman was huge on Special Teams last year. Maybe he's being groomed to play a few downs on defense, I dunno.
