Im with GT here. The fans are the real ones who have taken it up the shaft here about 7 of the last 8 years with the Smith experiment. I wonder what the overall total cost was to all the fans who spent their hard earned money on tickets to show up week after week, season after season, sit through the frustration, and pay for overpriced food and drink etc to watch their beloved team lose, many times in unwatchable fashion.

Meanwhile, the Yorks are still filthy rich, most of the fired coaches over the last 7 years have landed lucrative jobs again coaching elsewhere, and Alex laughs all the way to the bank, cashing in on probably close to 100 million over the entire span, at the minor expense of just enduring some rough criticism over the several seasons of poor performances. Seems like a small price to pay for being 29 and you or your family never having to work a job again in your life if so desired.

In the end, it’s hard to argue that Alex didn’t handle it with class, but I’m glad the drama is over and like others have mentioned, glad we don’t play him twice a year, certainly not out of fear of him, just out of karma type stuff. I wish him success, but more than that, the health to play a full season and increase our 'conditional pick' to a 2nd rounder. I do however, have my reservations on whether KC is the best fit for him. Andy Reid loves to air it out and uses the deep ball a lot. The days of the 15 for 22/185 yards, 0 TDs, 1 rush TD won’t cut it in Reid’s offense. I really think Reid may have misjudged personnel here for the aggressive passing style he coaches, but hey, with TWO 2nd rounders(depending on playing time) and 8 million of cap space freed up, I’m not going to argue!

Stay healthy, Alex!
