Kevin, just to counteract the wet blanket: you are correct that it depends on the players selected, but in '87 you had the Bucs front office picking. They were awful. (However, in fairness, Vinny was not a terrible QB. It was not his fault they sucked.) And here we have Baalke and H. Baalke has shown to be an excellent evaluator.

GT, I think Alex will do pretty well, and for a couple of reasons. First, he was terrible here when he had no coach or OC who understood offense. Singletary and Jimmy Ray? Hardly possible for success there. But Alex will be coached by Andy Reid, a guy who greatly understands both offense and quarterbacks. And unlike with Alex's early years, when he had no weapons, he will get Dwayne Bowe (they won't let him walk, esp. now that they have Alex). He will have a good running game. So, I don't think Alex will lead the league, but I think he will have some success. The Chiefs lost a bunch of games they shouldn't have. They are not a team devoid of talent.
