A dozen Free Agents to puzzle over:

)Randy Moss: I have no complaints about Moss’s contributions to the team last season. He was a mentor and a role model for Crabtree and Kaepernick, and probably a few others that I don’t know about. So thanks Randy… but your job is done, and so are you.

)Ted Ginn Jr.: The guy has all the speed in the world, and he does try. But he’s had lots of opportunities and he’s never really made good as an NFL receiver. I expect we can find a young punt returner for a lot less money.

)Delanie Walker: I think the team would be nuts to let this guy get away.

)Leonard Davis: He didn’t get on the field often, but when he did he played a lot better than I had expected he could. If he isn’t asking for a boat load of money I wouldn’t mind seeing Davis on our bench next season. He showed himself to be pretty good insurance last season.

)Isaac Sopoaga: Isaac has always been an inconsistent player. When he decides to assert himself, he’s amazing. But he doesn’t assert himself often enough for me to think he’s worth a new contract. I think 9 years is enough. Time to move on.

)Ricky Jean-Francois: He’s been a nice enough back-up, but when Justin Smith went down this season opposing offenses ran through him like he wasn’t there. He’s not a high priority as far as I’m concerned.

)Larry Grant: A special Teams standout, and he’s the primary back-up to both Willis and Bowman. And he’s shown that he can handle that job. I’d try hard to resign him.

Tavares Goodsen: A leader on Special Teams, but he’s never going to replace Willis or Bowman. Not a priority.

)Clark Haggans: With Parys Harelson coming back, Darius Flemming coming off IR, and Cam Johnson on the roster… I don’t see a place for Haggans on next year’s roster.

)Dashon Goldson: As I mentioned above, I have questions about just how important Goldson is. If he’s got his heels dug in for Willis / Bowman type money, I think he goes.

)Darcel McBath: No idea.

)T. Brock: No idea.
