There have been concerns about Gore's longevity practically since he entered the league. So I wish to make a prediction, based on watching his last two seasons: he has another 2 or 3 1000-yard seasons in him, and he will be playing for at least another 4 years. I say that because I believe he's become better with age, because I believe his body and his football intelligence have now caught up with one another, and because he's one of those guys who love the game of football so much they have to be carried off at the end of their careers. Like Tom Rathman, he will eventually become a coach somewhere, because he has too much knowledge of the game not to have it tapped by a smart franchise. But in the meantime, sure, bring in as many insurance back-ups or replacements as you like, but keep this man close to the line of scrimmage as often as possible because he will continue to be a force for several more years.
