Win, Kap is from the year before. That was the draft with Aldon, Hunter, Culliver, and Miller.

Re Gore and top 10 yardage all time: he is currently in 34th place. To get into the top 10 (with the current top 10 in place), he would have to rush for roughly 3,400 more yards. However, Adrian Peterson is ahead of him right now and not in the top 10, and I would project he would finish ahead of him, and Stephen Jackson, who is the same age, is about 1,300 yards ahead of him, so depending on how they finish, he probably needs more along the lines of 3,800. The last two years he's had about 1,200, and in general he's been good for 1,000 most years. So it would take him into his fourth season from now. There are a few things working against him. One, he'll need to stay healthy. Two, there is the usual slow down of backs after 30, and Frank is 29. It's pretty regular and pretty dramatic. For instance, neither LT, the Bus, Edge James, Marshall Faulk, or Dickerson ever had 1,000 yards after 30. And then there is the committee effect. To prolong his career and keep him healthy, H is going to give him fewer carries. He had 24 fewer than last year (that's about a game and a half difference), and you figure it will decrease some, especially if Hunter can come back. If they draft or sign a back in the next couple of years, a distinct possibility, then he may begin to truly split time.

I'm not saying he can't do it, just that the odds and history don't favor it. I do think he will hit 10,000 if he's healthy, and maybe 11,000. But that is roughly where I see him topping out. it is just so hard for backs past 30, especially those who run between the tackles, to keep it going. Most backs retire in their early 30s because of it.
