Next year. Ah, next year. I agree that the Seahawks are our top priority. Russell Wilson is, as I thought, an amazing quarterback. Lynch is an excellent running back, and their defense is lights out. As much as I hate Carroll, he is a good coach. Their weakest link is their receivers, but they are improving, and you have to believe that they will be better next year. Our strengths and weaknesses are similar. My feeling is that the difference between the teams is going to come down to confidence. They are an amazingly confident team, and having blown us out at the end of the year will give them a lot of it. What we need to do, aside from generally improving, is get a resounding win against them. We have squeaked out a couple the last two years. We need to show we can, what we call in tennis, routine them. A good 10+ point win where the other team doesn't really have that much of a chance.

After thy Seahawks (my least favorite team, just ahead of the Ravens, now, and Pats), we need to be wary of the Packers and Falcons. The Giants are good, but if you can beat those others you can beat the Giants. You have to figure the Saints will be back next year. How their defense will look will be the question with them. But I have said for a while now that if we get that quarterback, that guy who can take the team on his back if he needs to, that guy who can light it up, we will be one of the dominant teams. I think we have that guy now. Sure, he needs to improve in certain areas, but I think he will, and if we get more receiving weapons, he will be even better.

Wilson v. Kap. Right this second, Wilson is probably a little better, but Kap's ceiling is a LOT higher.
