Oh so close....  I feel a great deal of disappointment for the team.  They've come so far, so fast.  The guys played their hearts out, and I hate to see them lose in the last game of the season.  I hope they remember this feeling, and use it to fuel their quest to get back to this point and win next year.

The 49ers are a young team, and they'll challenge for Superbowls for years to come.  This will not be the last we hear from the San Francisco 49ers!

On the other hand...  This is the last hurray for the Ravens.  They are an old team, who are losing the heart and soul of their team in Ray Lewis to retirement.  They are also losing Ed Reed, who will be a free agency/salary cap loss.  Ad into the equation that the $100 million contract they are about to give Joe Flacco, it will hurt them in obtaining and keeping key players due to the salary cap.

Early mistakes by LaMichael James' fumble, and Kaep's interception hurt the team.  Throw into the mix the secondary getting torched in the first half, and then the special teams blunder on the kickoff for a touchdown hurt the teams chances.  If only they had played better in the first half, the game would have been the 49ers.

The officiating was horrible!!!  I have not seen such poor officiating in a Superbowl since the Seattle-Pittsburgh game after the 2005 season.  The NFL has extremely poor officiating, and they need to do something about it.  They allowed the Ravens to hold, and interfere with the 49ers over and over.  Ridiculous.  Eventually the NFL is going to get sued big time for this.  We are a nation that is law suit crazy, and a large group of fans are going to eventually get together and sue the NFL, and WIN!  Why they insist on employing officials who are in their 50's and 60's, to oversee a game that is played by young men in their 20's and 30's is beyond me.  I would love to have a job where I only work half a year, and starts at an $85,000 a year salary.

49ers IN 2013!!!  Superbowl 48 Champions!!!  Niners 4 Life!!!!
