Its whatever we make of it. Its purely subjective. Its a personal choice to be entertained by attaching ourselves emotionally to a professional sports franchise and then to create these "phantasms" in our mind that this all has meaning, but it really has no meaning as far as having any intrinsic value all of its own. It only has meaning because somewhere in our brains we have decided that it has meaning.

To me it means glory and victory and I am extremely pleased when my team wins and I'm real bummed out for years after if they don't. But that's my choice. That's the meaning I choose to attach to this experience. Its all subjective.

That doesn't mean the team doesn't exist objectively, and of course it does. But it only has meaning to me if I choose for it to have meaning and then I decide to what degree and in what form.

Its amazing to me how most people don't understand that a majority of life is "subjective" and a matter of "personal choice". These concepts have to be overridden by the propaganda wing of a centralized state to get us to voluntarily collectivize ourselves so that we can be better controlled. But once a person engages in the act of critical reasoning the controlling propaganda of the state no longer has any meaning and is viewed as threat to individual liberty.

I don't know where that came from but sometimes its useful to take a step back and understand why it is that we do this, follow this team so closely and get so emotionally caught up in it. Its because we choose to do so because we have attached meaning of our own devise to that experience.

It really is just a game and anything more we make of it is just purely subjective based on a personal choice.

Now enjoy the game Mother Truckers and I hope the 49ers beat the living crap out of the Ravens!
