"Phantasm" was one of the great low-no budget indy horror movies. No one thought it would ever see the light of day, and the cast and director and writer were shocked when they found out the movie had developed a following. So ten years after the first, they came back with the second. With the same cast. All but ignoring the fact that the actors were 10 years older... and looked 20 years older. It was hilarious, and the actors played with it.

Amazing effects considering the movies were done for a nickle.

Not telling you you're wrong here but... Lurch is/was a good guy. A smart, sweet character (regardless of how he looked) in a funny family comedy show.

The Tall Man was the threatening monster who had to be brutally killed and dismembered at the end of each of his movies.

I'm all for the Smith Brothers taking chain saws to The Tall Man. But it would tick me off if they tried to hurt Lurch.
