Great ELP link, Win. I saw them on a reunion tour concert in 1992 I think. That massive modular Moog was one monster instrument. All my fillings were rattling at that show when they hit bottom end notes.

Rob, the merchandise will be pouring out literally seconds after the game ends. One thing this week has done is get me to think about augmenting my Niner collectibles. I'd like to add more seventies - nineties stuff and add selected things from this team. I'm sure Kap memorabilia will be selling at sky high prices. Especially his rookie card. But I really need to pay more attention to how I archive my stuff. For the life of me I can't find the John Brodie autograph that I was sure was where it turned out not to be. And I know I have an envelope with autographs from the casts of Big Lebowsli and Manhattan that has been buried who knows where. I'm no where close to the people on the program Collection Intervention because I periodically sell things off, but I recognize their symptoms.

I think I've come to the point I enjoy the games more after they're played! If my team wins. I don't watch replays of losses unless I have a particular fixation on magically wishing I could change a key play and the final result. Like the 1967 Stanley Cup final game six. And that damn Lanny McDonald goal in 1989 when Chelios read the play wrong and the defense reacted too slow in covering the breaking winger.

Unless there are signs of an early blowout, championship games are agony to endure. I get a kick watching replays, knowing how the plot will unfold. Like a favorite movie, you might know everything about it, but once caught up in it unfolding it always evokes the same appreciation. And with games from further back it's neat knowing how whole careers played out and what impact that game might have had on a franchise or individual.
