Howdy folks!

HOLY SH!T it's BRIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I hope she comes back soon! Brit, if you see this post, please send me an email!

CANUCK!

That is INCREDIBLE! Just going to a Super Bowl is incredible, but for it to be the 49'ers first return to the big game in 18 years?!??!?! Bucket list indeed! Incredible! Enjoy every moment! And it would seriously be awesome if you uploaded some iPhone photos to the site!

re: Falcons Game

It was interesting catching up with the Audibles posts that were written during the game -- I was entertaining my kids and brainwashing my son to love 49'er football, so I didn't have a chance to check in, but I thought the consternation was interesting.

There is something about this team that actually has a very calming, reassuring effect for me. Even down 17 points, even on the road, even the dreaded 3 HR east coast time zone switch, didn't have me worried at all!

Honestly, I wasn't worried -- somehow I just knew that the team would pull it together and win this game. (It also helps that the Falcons are notorious chokers). This is a really special team, and it is an absolute joy to watch.

And I particularly love how the coaching staff didn't panic and throw the game plan away -- they simply got back to business, and crucially, made the adjustments they needed to at halftime.

re: Alex Smith and Kaepernick

Some wonderful articles about Smith mentoring Kaepernick -- but would anyone expect anything less? Smith is the classiest player in the NFL, maybe one of the classiest of all time. He's earned this Super Bowl run and has been an integral part of this team. I also think it's telling how positive Smith and Kaepernick are towards each other.

re: SuperBaugh, The HarBowl, The Harbaugh Bowl

Call me sentimental, but this has the makings of one of the all time classic Super Bowls. As satisfying as a blowout victory would be for the diehard 49er fans, I've got a feeling this thing is going down to the wire.

It has nothing to do with the Narcissistic Hypocrite on Baltimore Defense (Thanks Win!), who has frankly been average this year. (Most of his tackles are 6-7 yards from the LOS ... not exactly a 'playmaker').

It has everything to do with Flacco versus our Secondary, which frankly, has suddenly become a little porous. Unless Aldon Smith decides to single-handedly take this game over with a 4 sack game and double digit pressures, I don't think we can keep the Ravens to less than 21 points. Frankly, I see 28 points as more likely.

But the good news is that we have the offensive firepower and momentum to keep score!

My prediction is that the 9'ers win number six, but do so in an epic shootout that has us on the edge of our seats the entire game.

My prediction 35-28, 9'ers, with the 5th touchdown coming on the last possession of the game.

Flacco will have a huge day, but the defense will at least opportunistically get us a turnover or two which will be huge. (Sadly, I see no scenario in which they don't give up huge yardage to the scorching hot Flacco and his three very good WR's).

Go 9'ers!
