GT, you can forget about Jonathan Cooper. He is the 14th best player in the draft according to Todd McShay and in Kiper's top 25. Maybe we could get him if we wanted to trade up in the 1st, but we certainly won't trade up for a guard.

Of the other 4, I have only seen Okafor in a game (that I remember), and he was terrific. He won't last until late 2nd, but if we moved up into the mid 2nd? Who knows? I don't know I would want to go rush LB that early in the draft, but if players at positions of greater need aren't there, then you go for a guy who can help you more.

Kevin, I'd be fine with getting Williams, but I don't think in the 1st. Shariff Floyd has been listed for us with our 1st. He is a DT from UF around the same size as Justin. (Williams is about 35 pounds heavier but can also play outside in a 3-4.) I think Williams will be available mid-2nd, so I would not reach. If we wanted to go another route than DL we might look for corner in the 1st. WR is weak this year, as is QB. There might be some corners.

I agree with you completely that we will not take 14 players. I don't think we will get 14 picks to start with. I don't think we will get 4 compensatories. Alex won't get us anything that route because he isn't a free agent. The only way I see us getting a high(ish) compensatory is is Goldson is gone, which I certainly hope he is not.
