Who is the Niner's Invisible Man?

Vernon Davis? Nope. Mike Nolan sure hasn't forgotten what Vernon is capable of.

I think the Invisible Man is A.J. Jenkins. Mr. First round Mistake. Mr. First rounder who hasn't caught a ball all season.

I was thinking about the way both Harbaugh and Roman like to pull a trick out of their hats for each game. Hold something back for a bit, like the run option out of the pistol, and then spring it on some poor boobs.

I wonder if Jenkins won't be this week's "trick".

Here's the thing. Jenkins has been on the field, for the last month, running routes and beating people. Really, he has. He's been out running just about everybody. But he's only been targeted once, and he flubbed it. He let a ball go right through his hands on a crossing route.

Shame. Shame. He must be a bust. A rookie who can't catch the ball, and a guy who Kaepernick obviously doesn't trust. A decoy. A spot filler while old man Moss is on the sideline catching his breath.

He's the forgotten man, covered by the opponent's weakest cover man, and that makes him one heck of an attractive target for sneaky guys like Harbaugh and Roman.

With the defense crowding the line, looking to stuff Gore, and or contain Kaepernick... and Crabtree being thought of as the only danger in the passing game... uncorking a couple in Jenkins' direction, could very well put the fox among the chickens, as it were.

Whether he catches the ball or not... it'll loosen things up.

Just thinking.
