I think Mo and Rob and I are goofing on this whole thing, whipping up fan sentiment, lots more funny photos than normal and nobody can be more aware of false expectations than I in my history watching sports teams from California and in fact would view the omens in the opposite fashion as a classic contrarian indicator that how the majority of investors, for example, would view the market would provide impetus for the exact opposite bet. There's no such thing as a celebration before the fact but one can reflect on our decade and a half journey together before what could be a loss as we all well know either way we'll all be back. You can't bank on checks that someone else writes but can't cash but you can count on your friends at this site and their loyalty to this team. We have already won either way. We lose then nothing wagered nothing gained or lost but we win then all fatty expressions of hope and unfettered fan delusion pay off in the raising of the imaginary silver cup we all hold to our lips as if any of us wins anything. It's all entertainment value and the big buildup for the fall is more fun than the stoic hedging your bets for what could be a loss. Damn the Torpedoes and grab the moment for what it is and embrace Bette Midlers classic, "F'em if they can't take a joke". Fear of losing ruins more lives than losing, getting back up again, and winning. In the mean time don't be afraid to put on your game face and make some scary noises to put fear in your opponents heart, not yours. Not now.
