Never have I seen a 49ers offense completely DESTROY a defense like yesterday.

I've been watching since the days of Red Hickey and the original Shotgun formation.

John Brodie never did this.  Joe Montana never did this.  Steve Young never did this.  Nobody in the history of the NFL ever did what Colin Kaepernick did last night.  EVER.

Yes, Rob, the analysts are saying that the 49ers can play any style offense now, and it is true.  For now.

Just as the Chicago Bears figured out how to stop  The Shotgun in 1961, DC's around the league are figuring out how to stop Kaep and the read-option.  And they will.  The upside to all this is that CK is getting valuable game experience running a traditional pro offense from under center.  By the time the league catches up with the WildKaep, the Niners offense will likely move on to the BWO.

But, what a ride it is going to be in the process.

Once again, mea culpa for not believing that Justin Smith could play and play effectively.  He is obviously not what he was before the injury, but just his presence in the lineup makes a HUGE difference.  The guys around him pick up their games with Cowboy on the field.  Props to the entire defense for keeping Rodgers from running wild.

I still believe the Niners have a better shot at winning the NFC Championship against Atlanta, even playing there.  But, after seeing how the defense responded to the presence of Justin Smith, hosting the Seahawks wouldn't be as daunting as I believed a week ago.  I'm hoping that today, Atlanta plays them physically and slaps around some of their punkazz smacktalkers.  Either way, a monstrously physical game that goes into maybe three overtimes will benefit the Niners, no matter who wins.

I know you hate Ted Ginn, Jr., bp, but look at the highlights of the running game.  He blocked like a true champion all day long.
