Football non-49er: I am not a Denver Broncos fan or hater, but I have to say I have rarely been as stunned as I was over a couple of things in that game. First, how, how, how does a team complete a pass 70 yards long (and 60 of it in the air!) with 31 seconds to go?! I mean, there are just over 30 seconds to play and the offense in on its own 30 yard line. Where do you think they just might throw it? I mean, to not have guys camped out back deep was just mind-numbing. But then, okay, it happened, so you have to respond. Now, you have 31 seconds in Denver, city of thin air and long field goals. You have two time outs. And you have one of the greatest quarterbacks since Moses who has led goodness knows game-winning drives. You probably have to get to the 35 for a good shot at it. So you need 45 yards. That's basically three medium-length passes, and you have 2 TOs. So what do they do? Kneel and let the clock run out to go to OT! Of all the things I have seen, that would have infuriated me as much as anything were I a Broncos fan.
