Pete Carroll is an excellent coach. Top notch and he’s done wonders with the Seattle Seahawk franchise. They're within striking distance of the Super Bowl after only a couple of years. USC under Pete Carroll was a top ranked NCAA Division 1 program. Pete Carroll also has NFL experience at the Head Coaching and Coordinator positions, including DC with us back in the 1990’s. He’s also a pretty decent guy who just happens to be about the most competitive guy you could ever meet, much like our own Jim Harbaugh.

How he runs the football program in Seattle does involve an element of thuggery, however, and this philosophy does show up on the field in how the players behave during and after the play. It seems they are encouraged to get inside the grill and mindset of the opposing players and every opportunity. Very USC like, tough football, never give an inch, take care of the football. Groomed for success, toughest SOB’s in the valley, get away with every possible form of cheap shot, trash talk and injurious intent possible.

So a great coach like Pete Carroll, who has earned everybody’s respect in the nation, can also be termed a chump because of his philosophy of out cheap shot the other guy.

Secondly, we are without our number one Marshawn Lynch stuffer, that being Justin Smith, and the Seahawks are more than aware of that hole in the middle, and have a recipe for success against us.

I’ll go with Dave’s prescription for success, that we beat Green Bay, hope that Atlanta are not the roll over chumps the Redskins were yesterday, and then fly to Atlanta and play the Conference Final game.

I believe that’s our strategy going forward.
