Julie, I'm not sure what you mean about Kap like a deer in the headlights in the last few games. The last game of the season he threw for 276 yards and 2 TDs. Sure, he was awful against Seattle. In Seattle, in a driving rain, and with the rest of the team awful, too. The defense gave up 35 points and STs gave up 7 and missed 2 FGs. Seattle had the ball for 10 minutes more than we did. Alex was awful against Minnesota and NYG (as was the rest of the team in those games, too). Both QBs have looked terrible at times. And but for a missed 41-yard field goal, Seattle would have been Kap's only loss. Maybe you are referring to the NE game? Again in the rain, but forget that. The fact is that Kap had about a 10-minute stretch that was not good. He lit it up in the first half, put up 14 in the 3rd quarter, and led the team to the winning TD (and a field goal tacked on). The part of the team that was awful was the defense in the second half. For some reason, people talk about Kap's bad games, like somehow he was terrible against NE. He threw 4 TDs for goodness' sake.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to wish Alex were quarterbacking us in the playoffs. I just want people to remember things accurately. It's the same with Alex. Alex was having a very good year when he got hurt. He was not the Alex of a few years ago who made all sorts of mistakes. To suggest so would be wrong and unfair. However, to suggest that Alex made no mistakes this year would also be inaccurate. He threw 3 picks against NY. My point is simply that to judge Alex based on the 3-pick Giants game would be unfair and an inaccurate assessment of his overall play, and predicting his play on that game would be unfair. To judge Kap on the Seattle game is the same.

Who knows what will happen next week? but I am concerned far more about the defense than the offense.
