Cards to interview Todd Haley. This just says everything about the Bidwells and why the Cardinals have been so bad for so long. You fire a former Steelers OC who took you to a Super Bowl with a great QB and failed with a bad QB and look to hire a current Steelers OC who failed miserably at another team as HC when he had a weak QB. If they hire Haley, we can count on a couple of wins a year. After we got good (1981) we lost to the Cards 6 (3 when Nolan first got here) times until Whisenhunt took over. During Whisenhunt's tenure they beat us 3 times. Sure, part of that was in rebuilding mode, but the fact is that even during the Nolan/Sing years we won the division--and won it handily--but lost at least a game to the Cards. Whisenhunt is a good coach. The Cards are/were in much greater need of a quarterback than a coach. The one complaint that is probably legitimate is whether he is a good judge of QB talent or not. They drafted Leinart, a complete bust, and signed Kolb (though injuries are his main issue), and have no back-ups worth anything.
