I still am cynical about this process of 'who has the hot foot (sic) ' at this time. It's not preseason, or somewhere in the season where other options can be tried. Team chemistry, trust, solidarity and all that intangible stuff is important for the psyche of each player in battle. Maybe if it was someone with a much better track record than Cundiff then reputation and accomplishments would inspire confidence from the entire team. But it seems rather like a desparate maneuver to go through this mock battle of the boot. Cundiff probably knows he's being used to some degree, auditioning as a possible stand in only if Akers has a lousy couple of weeks of practice. Even if they both dress it will be unusual and a deviation of Harbaugh's methodology. And things like that disrupt the mindset of the collective unit.

Got to hand it to the Bay area teams. Lots of really good coaches all around in all aports. Mark Jackson has done wonders. The Warriors decisively befuddled the Clippers. Should be a fun rematch in a few days. By then the Lakers will have thoroughly discouraged their co-tenants (double sic).
