bp, to be fair, Akers' two misses were not both "reasonably close." One was a 51-yarder. But that is not difficult in terms of distance for him. With him it's all about kicking it straight.

Kevin, re Beanie: I am surprised you would want him. Sure, his style is pretty much a pounder, but he's played all 16 games only once out of 4 years, his average ypc has been below 3.5 twice, and even in college some of his stats were misleading. Sure, he rushed for a lot against 5-7 Illinois and 3-9 Michigan, but against 12-1 USC the entire team rushed for 71 on 24 carries, and against 11-2 PSU he got 55 yards on 22 carries. He was overrated in college and has been a bust for a 1st-round pick in the pros.

And he is a malcontent who doesn't have great hands. I would much rather draft a hungry running back in a middle to late round (like we did with Hunter in the 4th) or Alfred Morris (6th round), Arian Foster (UFA), or Ahmad Bradshaw (7th). Running back is one position where you can find someone really good in a later round, unlike premiere corners, where the vast majority are 1st and 2nd round picks.
