One thing to point out. In the preseason, many of the prognosticators said we would not win 13 games because a number of things that had happened last year were statistically unlikely to happen. For instance, last year our TO differential was +28, one of the highest ever and therefore certainly not likely to be repeated. And they were right. This year we were only +9. They also pointed to last year's good health, and again they were right. And they looked at this year's schedule's being tougher. And yet, if our kicker had made only two particular FGs, we would have been 13-3. As it was, we went 11-4-1, but the repeat of a 13-win season did not come down to TO differential, health, or schedule, just a kicker who was a Pro Bowler last year performing at a 1-11 Division III school level this year. And no one predicted that.
