A WR taken in the first round really SHOULD be ready or almost ready to step on the pro field and contribute almost right away, or for sure by week 17. Jenkins appears to not be anywhere close to that. To have a first round WR not ready to contribute is for sure at least somewhat of a disappointment, although from everything I've seen, nobody except Baalke really had Jenkins going in the first round anyway. It might be a tad early, but the guy Kiper had us taking in the late 1st, Alshon Jeffrey, who the Bears took later and implemented successfully into their offense right away, on the surface seems like a much better pick at this point, unfortunately. Baalke's strong suit obviously does not appear to be WRs. Or kickers!
