Receiver was a priority for upgrading, but results were mixed. Manningham really didn't exceed expectations overall. OK for short to medium yardage but not much beyond that. Moss probably produced a realistic total given the doubts about his acquisition, but there wasn't much special about him. Williams was emerging as a more dynamic option before injuries. Jenkins is still a complete unknown. Possibly a total bust at worst, but at least needing a long learning curve it seems. Not much production from the backs as receivers. Walker and Davis are good, but we need an upgrade of speed and game breaking potential. I don't know how high a draft pick to use considering what happened last draft. Free agent signings might be the way to go,but it's hard to really know what you're getting. Baalke will have to work hard on this file. Especially if Williams can't return to form.
