I do not like how much Harbaugh and Roman have changed the offense.  I'm fine with Kaepernick starting, but they've totally changed how the offense approaches the game and the look of it.  I think they should have continued to do most of the things they did with Alex, but take some designed shots downfield.  In my opinion, that's the only thing that was wrong with the offense, the lack of deep plays a few times per game.  Now we are using the pistol formation so much, and we're trying to run the ball in a way that doesn't maximize Gore's talents.  The offense is overkilling on the read-option plays, and trying to take too many shots downfield.  It's almost unrecognizable anymore, and is not as effective as earlier in the season.

I felt that the way the offense operated in Kaeps first game against the Bears was perfect, and that it would be the way the team went on from there.  But they've totally changed it.  It's very gimmicky, with Roman trying to get a home run with every pass.  Bring back the ball control offense that grinds a defense down, and takes time off the clock.  It also helped the defense by giving them plenty of rest.

I am not a big Greg Roman fan, and would not be heartbroken if he left during the offseason.
