Seifert, Mooch, Erickson, Nolan, Singletary were all analyzed pretty strictly here and elsewhere. So why is Harbaugh given a free pass? No one is claiming to be smarter or more attuned to the team pulse, but second guessing is the lifeblood of being a fan. Credit is ample when results merit it. When the team loses, why shouldn't anyone second guess one thing or another? What else is there to do? I think everyone here is smart enough and sophisticated enough to have reasoned and logical opinions any where along the spectrum.

And let's face it. The qb change is one of those mega important decisions that does immediately impact team chances for winning a championship or not. This season started with a veteran team poised to build on last year. Changing engines halfway through could very well determine the fortunes of the franchise right now. If it works, fantastic. If not, then no one will ever know for sure what might have been.

Was this supposed to be a rebuilding year? That's usually when raw rookie qbs ( and equivalents) are thrown into the fire. Current circumstances are about as ripe for second guessing as any scenario in sports history. Hardly a time for passive fan blind faith.

It seems Seattle is now considered a better team. I wonder if Harbaugh looked at his arch nemesis Caroll and tried to copy what he did in the Wilson/Flynn situation. Only half a season later?

Have a great festive time, all.
